Born and raised in Colorado, I feel most at home in the mountains. My earliest and fondest memories all involve being outside. I left Colorado to attend the University of Virginia, where I delivered a thesis and capstone project on participatory art as a vehicle for social justice.

An interdisciplinarian at heart, my background spans the art, humanitarian, and wellness sectors. After living and working throughout Central America, I completed a Master’s in International Development at the University of Edinburgh, writing a dissertation on domestic agriculture as a holistic approach to nutrition intervention in rural Guatemala.

I am currently a researcher, facilitator, and yoga teacher based in Edinburgh, Scotland where I co-founded BeDo, an emotional learning initiative dedicated to the wellbeing of impact-driven professionals. Drawing upon teaching certifications in Applied Compassion and Traumatic Stress Studies, from Stanford University’s Center for Compassion & Altruism Research & Education (CCARE) and the Trauma Research Foundation (TRF), respectively, I design and deliver educational programs on topics related to compassion, trauma, and resilience.

I am in the process of translating and adapting a cookbook of traditional Guatemalan recipes, in collaboration with my long-time friends at Seeds for a Future, proceeds to promote nutrition and food sovereignty for indigenous families in rural Guatemala. In my spare time, I teach yoga and host immersive nature therapy experiences across Scotland.
